Photography and Drones
Photography at this event
Please be aware that photographs and videos will be taken at this event. By registering for this event and entering the event site you agree that your image can be used by the event organizing team.
The primary use of photography is as part of a 'memories' photo gallery. Two days before the photo gallery is to be published, all attending sections will be sent a private link to review the photo gallery for the purpose of identifying and requesting individuals be removed, in photos where a participant is individually identifiable (i.e. excluding whole-event photography). Any photo not removed as part of the review period, may be used elsewhere by the event organizing team.
Local media will also be present at the event, and have permission to take event-wide photography. In the case of photography where individuals are identifiable in a small group, media personnel will seek permission. Section teams are expected to know the Scouts Canada photo permissions of their youth before attending the event, so they can inform any media personnel of which youth may not be included in such photography.
Section are requested not to take photography of any participants outside their Scout Group, as they do not have access to Scouts Canada photography permissions of those participants.
During the event, if you feel anyone is taking inappropriate photographs or videos, please report this to an event Co-Chair.
