Patrol Sled Kit List

Each Patrol will need to have their own Klondike Sled (Built or Borrowed), and bring the below items to allow participation in the various events.

Patrol Sled Kit List (Will be checked as part of the point system)

Sled with:

• 2 ropes 15 m long to assist in up-hill, down-hill and side-hill maneuver

• Container holding 5 gallons of water,container, at least half full.

• Rope(s) for securing load to the sled

• 2 Tarps (1 to wrap sled contents and 1 spare.)

• Compact shovel to move or clear snow

• Patrol First Aid kit

• Kitchen equipment required for lunch

• Single burner stove (s) if required to prepare lunch, with fuel and matches

• Hot Chocolate or alternative

• Magnetic compass carried by the Patrol leader or their designate

• Participants daypacks

Scouters/OOS/Patrols will be responsible bringing their meals for the day.   Hot Chocolate will be available on-site.
